When I started training dogs more than 20 years ago, I had no idea my passion would grow into what it is today. My goal then — and still now — is to help dogs live the best lives they can.

The only way to do that is to teach both dogs and humans how to communicate through a shared language and to create an environment that is as close as possible to a dog’s natural, instinctive way of life.

If humans were to go to Mars and become the subordinate species, I would hope the Martians could clearly communicate what they expect from me and shape my environment to resemble what I’m used to here on Earth — giving me the greatest possible chance for success.
