The business originated September 2007 when James Taylor (Head Trainer) completed his apprenticeship program with American Canine Institute. It was his love and affinity for dogs that drove him to starting his own business. Since then James has furthered his education with seminars, workshops and also completing the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers. James now trains under the name "Bay Area Family K-9 Training". We here at "Bay Area Family K-9 Training", are committed to training every dog and owner that crosses our path. We feel we can single-handedly help stop dogs from being euthanized, through educating the dogs and their owners.

Our course can teach you how to prevent these problems by creating a bond between you and your dog. We will help you establish consistent leadership and a working connection with your “best friend”. We believe that every dog, regardless of size or breed, is motivated to learn in different ways. Positive-reward based training is the most ideal and effective way to train. There is NO single way to train. We utilize all training methods on a “dog-by-dog” basis, so that our clients are assured to achieve the results they desire for their companion or sport dog. The focus of our training is to communicate clearly and effectively in terms your dog understand best.
